Below, you will find information about applying to the training grant. Our training grant supports one student in the second year of their Ph.D. and one student in the third year. Nomination materials are due annually on April 20th at 5pm (or the following Monday if the 20th falls on a weekend).<\/p>\n

The nomination must include 3 documents:<\/p>\n

A two-page research plan written by the applicant<\/strong><\/em> including:\n\n
Prior Research Experience,<\/li>\n
Project Suitability for the Applicant\u2019s Background,<\/li>\n
How the Project Fits with the CoEvoD Theme,<\/li>\n
Any Pertinent Notes on Academic Performance,<\/li>\n
One-sentence descriptions of:\n\n
Major goal of the project<\/li>\n
Approaches \/ methods used in the project<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
Statement that both candidate and mentor support the nomination,<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
A complete list of the nominee\u2019s research experiences including any publications and presentations\n\n
Paragraph of research project with list of outcomes underneath is appropriate<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
Undergraduate and Graduate Transcripts<\/li>\n
NIH Biosketch of the trainee<\/li>\n
NIH Biosketch of the advisor<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
Document 2 – Letter of recommendation from the advisor<\/li>\n
